Scouting Report

Matthew Liberatore, Age: 21, Height: 6-4, Weight: 200 lbs.
Matthew Liberatore is recognized as one of the most talented players in the St. Louis Cardinals system. Liberatore has both stuff and “pitch-ability”, commanding a four-pitch mix that includes three specific above average pitches. He sits comfortably in the low 90s with a fastball that can touch 95-96 mph. His premiere secondary pitch is a plus curveball that he throws with 12-to-6, downer action. To make him even more of a challenge for hitters, he boasts a changeup that compliments his heater that gives Libby an above-average third pitch.
