Before College

Jacob Berry went to Queen Creek High School in Arizona. During this time, he was invited to exhibitions such as the 2019 Perfect Game National Showcase and the 2019 Area Code Games. He was a highly-touted prospect, as he was selected onto the Perfect Game Underclass All-American teams in 2018 and 2019 before making the 2020 Perfect Game preseason all-American list. At the end of his high school tenure, Berry was ranked as the number 3 prospect from the state of Arizona.

2021

Arizona

As a Freshman, Berry started 62 of the 63 Arizona games, playing in all of them. He had an outstanding season, with a batting average of .352, 54 runs, 19 doubles, 5 triples, and 70 RBIs. Many recognized his performance, earning him a spot as a consensus All-American and as a Freshman All-American. He led the Pac-12 in multiple stats, including RBIs, triples, and bases. In the postseason, Berry helped the team to a College World Series berth with 6 runs, 3 doubles, 2 home runs, and 6 RBI. Berry had multi-hit games four times during Arizona’s playoff run.

2022

LSU

In June of 2021, former Arizona baseball Head Coach Jay Johnson accepted the same position at LSU. Berry followed his coach to LSU and will be immediately eligible to play. Berry will know at least one other Tiger. LSU outfielder Dylan Crews and Berry were teammates on the Stars squad of the U.S collegiate national team this summer. In a match against the Stripes, both Berry and Crews homered. Berry joined the BlueChip Team in November of 2021.
