2017

Cardinal Hayes

Coming out of High School Elijah Jones was the top-rated cornerback and eighth overall player in New York according to Rivals.com. On defense, he was a turnover machine with 3 interceptions and two forced fumbles as a Senior. On offense, he averaged 26.1 yards per reception with 1,017 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns.



2018

On Campus

As a true freshman, Elijah played in four games before redshirting for the rest of the season. He accrued six tackles and four pass breakups.


2019

First Start

Elijah made an impact as a redshirt freshman, starting three games and playing in all 13. He had a big game in his first start, which was at Notre Dame. He accrued 9 tackles 7 of which were solo tackles. He also started in the Birmingham Bowl against Cincinnati where he made 6 solo tackles.


2020-2021

Continued Impact

Over the next two seasons, Elijah would continue to be a consistent contributor. In 2020 he made 36 total tackles and had 5 passes defended. His best game of the season was once again against Notre Dame where he accrued 5 total tackles, 4 of which were solo. In 2021 he made 28 total tackles and 5 passes defended. He had a massive game against Wake Forest in which he made 6 solo tackles, a pass defense, and a forced fumble.


2022

One More Year

Elijah graduated with the Boston College class of 2022 on May 22nd. He is hard at work for his last season with Boston College football and is excited to get back on the field!
