2017

Freshman

DiDi spent her college career at Baylor. In her freshmen year she appeared in 33 total games and averaged 5.1 points with 4.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists a game. She finished the season leading the Lady Bears in steals six times, blocks three times and assists once. Her impact was felt across the Big 12 as she finished third among Big 12 freshmen in blocks and rebounds. She also added accomplishments in the classroom as she received Baylor’s Academic Award.



2018

BIG 12 Defensive Player of the Year

DiDi had a break out season in her sophomore year. She started in all 38 games and helped the Lady Bears beat Notre Dame to win the championship. During the season, she was selected to the Big 12 All-Defensive Team and was named Defensive Player of the Year.


2019

NCAA Defensive Player of the Year

DiDi’s rep as one of the nation’s top on-ball defenders was solidified as she swept National Defensive Player of the Year Awards from both Naismith and the WBCA. She also was named as the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year. Despite the COVID-19-shortened season, her 171 assists in the COVID-19-shortened season still ranked as the sixth-best total among Baylor juniors all-time. She also played and started in all 30 games for Baylor, averaging a team-leading 29.9 minutes per game.


2020

Perseverance

DiDi’s last season at Baylor leading into her WNBA career, was one of perseverance. During a preseason practice, DiDi collided with a teammate and was left temporarily paralyzed from the incident. Despite being told to think about life after basketball, she pushed herself back and a mere 38 days after the incident, returned to the court. She finished the season averaging 6.3 points, 6.3 assists and just over 1 steal a game, leading the Lady Bears to the Elite Eight.


2021

Welcome to NY

Was drafted by the New York Liberty with the 17th overall pick in the 2021 WNBA Draft. Flourished in her first year in the league, where she appeared in 31 games, ranked first among rookies in three-point field goal percentage, second in games, and third in assists and total minutes. She was recognized for her standout year by earning a spot on the Associated Press All-Rookie Team.
